The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Anwel Sadat Ahmed, has paid a courtesy call on Nana Kofi Owusu, Kodiekromhene, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Municipal Assembly and traditional authorities for local development.
The visit formed part of the MCE’s working tour of communities within the municipality, during which he earlier engaged community elders at Deduako. At the meeting, Hon. Sadat Ahmed briefed the elders on the progress of the ongoing construction of a health centre in the area, assuring them of the Assembly’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare.
Nana Kofi Owusu, in his remarks, expressed appreciation to the MCE for the visit and commended him for initiating and sustaining development projects within the municipality. He urged Hon. Sadat Ahmed to remain focused and dedicated, emphasizing the need to complete ongoing projects.
He further stressed the importance of continuity in development efforts, noting that tangible progress in the municipality would depend on commitment, transparency, and effective collaboration between political leaders and traditional authorities.
Hon. Sadat Ahmed expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded him by the chief and his elders. He reaffirmed his commitment to deepening cooperation between the Assembly and traditional leaders, describing such partnerships as essential to driving sustainable development at the local level.
The MCE also assured the gathering that the Assembly would continue to prioritize projects that directly impact the well-being of residents, particularly in the areas of healthcare, infrastructure, and social services.
Hon. Sadat Ahmed was accompanied on the visit by the Presiding Member, who doubles as the Assembly Member for Deduako, Hon. Richard Nyarko; the Municipal Finance Officer, Mr. Kofi P. Akey, the Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Nana Akua Afriyie Bafana, and other departmental heads of the Assembly.
