Officers of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) from the Oforikrom Municipal Assembly have commenced a comprehensive six-day sensitization program aimed at educating residents on domestic and commercial fire prevention measures.
The initiative, which kicked off today, November 13, and is scheduled to conclude on November 30, focuses on visiting key markets and information centers throughout the municipality. The primary goal is to raise awareness about fire safety and prevention practices among citizens.
During the six-day campaign, NADMO officers will conduct educational sessions at various locations, including Ayigya, Ayeduase, Anwomaso, Kotei, and Anloga markets. Additionally, the outreach will cover Topre Ba information center, Aprade, Deduako, Anloga, and Appiadu Information Centers.
The program addresses both domestic and commercial aspects of fire prevention, emphasizing best practices and precautionary measures to minimize the risk of fire incidents. Residents are encouraged to actively participate in the sessions, ask questions, and implement the suggested safety measures within their homes and businesses.
Officials from NADMO expressed their commitment to fostering a safer community by empowering residents with essential knowledge on fire prevention. They urged cooperation from the public, stressing the collective responsibility of creating a secure living environment.
As the campaign progresses, the Oforikrom NADMO anticipates a heightened awareness and understanding of fire prevention strategies, ultimately contributing to a safer and more resilient community.
