The Oforikrom Municipal Assembly has donated food items to Chief Imams in the Municipality towards the Ramadan festivities.

The items presented to the Chief Imams at the Municipal Assembly’s premises on Thursday, April 6, 2023, included 23 bags of rice, 26 cartons of milk, 26 cartons of Lipton, 3 bags of sugar, 13 cartons of mackerel, and 8 cartons of sun flower oil.

The presentation was made by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Abraham Antwi together with the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Charles Attah-Mensah.

Addressing the Chief Imams, Hon. Abraham Antwi stated that since the ninth month of the Islamic calendar is the Ramadan, a Holy time where Muslims around the world fast and focus their attention on giving to charity.

“The items donated are to help you during this holy month of Ramadan.” He said.

Receiving the items, the Chief Imams expressed gratitude to the Assembly for the continuous generosity towards the Muslim community
